Catherine retired from SUNY Plattsburgh. She enjoyed volunteering at the Salvation Army Thrift Store, word search puzzles, playing solitaire, cooking, especially during the holidays, and spending time with her family.
Catherine was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Robert Baker, a daughter Catherine, her sisters; Grace Doucette and Elizabeth Smalley, and a son-in-law Neal Provost.
Her children survive her; Robert (Sheila) Baker of Peru, Jeff Baker of Beekmantown, Deborah Provost of Plattsburgh, Pamela (Orlan) Wade of Morrisonville; her sister; Eleanor Bouvia of Dade City, Florida; two grandsons Chad Baker and Neal Provost, one great-grandson Cael Baker, several nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, April 25, 2022, from 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.
A Christian burial Mass will follow at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peter’s Church, with the Rev. William G. Reamer presiding. Burial will follow at the Ingraham Cemetery.
